Fronteira(2020)

Fronteira is a 1970 Portuguese drama following a newly appointed chief of the Fiscal Guard who arrives in a remote border village with rigid convictions about enforcing the law. The community survives through smuggling, and his uncompromising approach quickly puts him at odds with the locals. When a passionate conflict emerges, it forces him to confront his core values and sense of duty, ultimately leading to an unexpected and irreversible choice.
