Gartenfeind(2014)

Gartenfeind is a German comedy about Gerti, a Bavarian allotment garden tyrant at her wit's end with her granddaughter Merci, who has transformed into a moody teenager. Things worsen when Merci falls for Simon, a Berlin hipster who's just moved into the neighboring garden plot. Determined to protect her turf—both literal and figurative—Gerti wages an all-out war against the unwelcome interloper, deploying every trick in her arsenal to reclaim control of her beloved allotment colony. What unfolds is a clash of generations and lifestyles as the stubborn grandmother refuses to surrender her domain to love, youth, and urban sensibilities.
