Magic Testament(2020)

Magic Testament is a black comedy about a man facing a mid-life crisis who must marry and have a child to claim his father's inheritance. Desperate to secure the windfall, he embarks on a frantic, absurd quest to meet these conditions, leading to a series of ridiculous and darkly funny situations. The film stars Tu Yuwei and Long Yiyi, with Zheng Jiayu in a supporting role. This Taiwanese production blends humor with existential desperation, exploring themes of family obligation, mortality, and the arbitrary demands we place on adulthood. The nonsensical plot twists and comedic timing create a surreal examination of what we'll do for money—and what we're willing to sacrifice in the process.
