Ready(2002)

Ready is a film about generational curse and acceptance. Naomi has grown up knowing she will meet the same tragic fate that has claimed her family for generations. Where her ancestors fought desperately—and foolishly—to escape their doom, Naomi has chosen a different path. She has made peace with her destiny and convinced herself she is prepared for what awaits her. The film explores whether resignation to fate is strength or surrender, and whether Naomi's acceptance will actually protect her or merely delay the inevitable.
