Sukker(2019)

Sukker is a Danish film about a young man caught between financial security and genuine connection. Lauge travels to Copenhagen to meet his wealthy older lover, a reliable source of income and comfort. But when he encounters a woman his own age, he finds himself drawn to her in ways his transactional relationship never offered. As feelings deepen, Lauge faces an impossible choice: continue pursuing the stability that money provides, or risk everything for love with someone who meets him as an equal. The film explores the tension between desire and pragmatism, asking what truly matters when you're forced to choose.
