Switch(2007)

Switch is a Norwegian coming-of-age film about Mikkel, a 17-year-old forced to leave his comfortable life in Oslo when his mother's job relocates the family to a small snowboard town. Uprooted from his tight-knit friend group, Mikkel must navigate the social hierarchy of his new school, where snowboarding prowess determines status. To fit in and find his place, he throws himself into training with the local crew. The film captures the universal struggle of adolescent reinvention—the pressure to prove yourself in unfamiliar territory, the loneliness of starting over, and the determination required to earn acceptance among peers who've known each other their whole lives.
