The film weaves together fan-created elements—a secret agent, a hidden weapon, and a mysterious monster—each contributed or inspired by Rodriguez's dedicated followers. Throughout the story, missing person posters featuring fan photographs appear as Easter eggs, giving viewers a chance to spot themselves on screen. Made as part of the Keep Moving Projects with BlackBerry 10, Two Scoops represents an experimental approach to filmmaking that transforms fans from passive viewers into active collaborators in the creative process.
