Town Factory's Woman(2017)

Town Factory's Woman is a Japanese drama series about Arimoto Hikari, a 32-year-old housewife forced to confront her past when her father collapses from overwork. Given only four days to live, her father asks Hikari to take over his manufacturing company—the very legacy she rejected years ago to build a domestic life. Hikari accepts the challenge, but her decision triggers immediate conflict. Her husband leaves for America on business, and male executives within the company, including Katsumata and Junzo, actively resist her leadership. Caught between family duty and personal choice, Hikari must prove herself capable while navigating corporate resistance and her own doubts. Based on the novel by Suwa Takako, the series explores ambition, sacrifice, and what it means to reclaim a path once abandoned.
