Dad for Rent is a Russian comedy series about Ilya Petrovich Solomatin, a man who shares his name with the ex-wife of his boss Irina. This coincidence sets off a chaotic chain of events that rockets Ilya through a dizzying career in a single day. Yet amid the professional upheaval, neither Ilya nor Irina nor young Vasya can muster much concern for his sudden success. The series explores what happens when ambition collides with the messy realities of family and relationships, proving that sometimes the things we chase hardest matter far less than the people around us.
