Watch the Sea Strategy is a Chinese fantasy series rooted in ancient mythology and historical legend. Drawing from the mythological framework of the Shan Hai Jing and inspired by classical texts like the Warring States Policy, the story unfolds across a richly imagined world. When Arctic beasts invade the kingdom of Xuanyuan and the nation's defenses crumble, internal treachery compounds the crisis as corrupt forces within the realm conspire with foreign enemies. A band of unlikely heroes emerges to turn the tide: Ji Wei, a cunning strategist and skilled archer from humble origins, and Lingyao, a Taoist master of mystical arts, among others. Together they fight to protect their country and people from destruction, using strategy, magic, and martial prowess to gradually reverse their desperate circumstances and expose the conspiracy threatening the realm.
