Screen Play is a Hong Kong series that weaves together the ambitions and romantic entanglements of people chasing stardom in the film industry. When children's TV host Lan Guangchang finally lands a contract with powerful producer Gai Lan, his dreams of becoming a movie star seem within reach—until Gai Lan's sudden death leaves him stranded. Desperate, Lan Guangchang turns to Gai Yingjing, Gai Lan's daughter, to salvage his career.
