Fair Trade(2021)

Fair Trade is a Belgian crime series following two disillusioned detectives, Walter Wilson and Robin De Rover, who abandon their ideals after years of watching criminals escape justice through legal technicalities and corrupt judges. Frustrated by the system, they begin taking bribes to tip off criminals about police operations, gradually sliding deeper into the underworld. Wilson's personal demons—addiction to women, alcohol, and drugs—make him unpredictable and dangerous. When he's suspended from the force, his descent accelerates as he seeks closer ties to organized crime, becoming a liability to everyone around him. The series explores how institutional failure and moral compromise can transform dedicated officers into criminals themselves.
