Wild Rose(2017)

Wild Rose is a Chinese historical drama following two siblings torn apart by ideology and war. After her brother dies protecting a Communist Party member, Xia Yuzhu commits herself to the Communist cause. Her counterpart, Gu Shuangju, rises through the ranks of the Nationalist spy apparatus. As civil conflict escalates, the two find themselves locked in opposing camps, forced to navigate conflicting loyalties, duty to their respective organizations, and the bonds that once connected them. The series explores the personal cost of political conviction during China's turbulent mid-twentieth-century struggle, where family ties fracture under the weight of historical forces.
