Midi Première(1975)

Midi Première is a French variety show hosted by Danièle Gilbert and directed by Jacques Pierre. It aired on TF1 from January 1975 to January 1982, typically occupying the noon slot before the 1 p.m. news broadcast. The program featured live musical performances and entertainment acts, with a flexible schedule that adjusted based on guest availability and recording location. Midi Première became known for memorable moments that defined French television of the era, including Ringo's on-air confrontation with a demonstrator in 1977, Dalida's technical mishap during a performance in 1978, and Claude François's appearance interrupted by overeager fans. Supertramp performed "Dreamer" on the show in March 1975. These performances have since achieved cult status among French television enthusiasts.
