Sogni e bisogni is an Italian TV series that aired in 1985, comprising eleven episodes and a conclusion broadcast across six one-hour programs. Each episode runs roughly thirty minutes, separated by intermissions featuring three allegorical characters: Good, Evil, and Destiny. The stories blend dark comedy with the surreal. In "La Morte Porta Consiglio," a daughter asks her dying father to send her winning lottery numbers from the afterlife, but he retaliates with pranks after receiving a modest funeral. "Il Fattaccio" follows a doorman tasked with showing an apartment where something terrible occurred; he fabricates increasingly gruesome tales to deter buyers and preserve his extra income. "Ladri" tracks two working-class thieves navigating tragicomic misadventures. "L'Imbiancone" centers on a painfully shy man attempting to buy shoes and seduce the female shopkeeper. The series balances absurdist humor with melancholy observation of ordinary lives.
