Fraudstars(2021)

Fraudstars is a Hong Kong comedy series that reunites seven film industry veterans a decade after their careers derailed due to a difficult director's ego. When their ambitious comeback project collapses following their investor's sudden death, the group—director Chi Yeung, producer Herman, screenwriter Lee Sa Sa, martial arts choreographer Master Man, production designer Shell, actress Lau Ka Ling, and assistant director Choi Tsz Lok—find themselves drowning in debt. Desperate to escape their obligations, they pull off a convincing con that sparks an idea: they form "Fraudstars," a scam operation. Their schemes take a dangerous turn when a genuine crime syndicate discovers their operation and forces them into real criminal activity. What begins as a clever con to settle debts becomes a high-stakes game where the line between performance and peril blurs.
