Cloister(2021)

Cloister is a historical drama set in the Solovetsky concentration camp during the late 1920s. Amid the frozen landscape of an ancient monastery, surrounded by lingonberry woods and icy lakes, prisoners endure brutal conditions and starvation. Against this backdrop of suffering, a forbidden romance blooms between Artyom, a camp inmate, and Galina, a Cheka officer. Their passionate connection is dangerous and impossible—a love story destined for tragedy in a place where survival itself demands everything. The series explores how human connection persists even in the darkest circumstances, as two people from opposing sides of the camp hierarchy risk everything for each other.
