Lady Blue is a crime drama following Katy Mahoney, a tough Chicago homicide detective played by Jamie Rose. Airing on ABC from September 1985 to January 1986, the series lasted just 13 episodes before cancellation. Critics compared Mahoney to Dirty Harry, dubbing her "Dirty Harriet" for her hard-edged approach to solving murders. The show struggled in its Thursday night timeslot, hampered by low ratings and controversy over its violent content—considered excessive for 1980s television.
