Books Everywhere(2020)

Books Everywhere is a Chinese drama series about Liu Shi Cheng, a man who arrives in a rural village with a truckload of books and a mission to transform the community. Despite initial skepticism from residents, he wins them over through determination and kindness—Li Mu Lin even gives him a puppy to help overcome his fear of dogs. As Liu Shi Cheng launches an education initiative to develop skilled workers and lift the village toward prosperity, village director Li Wen Xiu becomes his steadfast ally. Her close collaboration with him, however, draws unwanted suspicion from her mother-in-law. The series follows Liu Shi Cheng's struggles to implement his vision while navigating the complex social dynamics of village life, testing whether his idealism can survive reality.
