Rusted Armors is a series set during Japan's Warring States Period, when the Muromachi shogunate crumbled and the nation fractured into warring factions. Deep in the forests of the Kingdom of Nori, a mercenary group called Zahe Zhong operates under the banner of the Yatagarasu, taking on bloody contracts across the battlefield. Sun Yi, a foreign-born outsider, has inherited leadership of the clan. Meanwhile, Saburo fights to alert Japan to the threat of European invasion, a danger few recognize. When foreign invaders strike, these two men—separated by origin and purpose—become unlikely allies.
