Kansan mies is a Finnish drama series following Aki Honkala, a blindly devoted Member of the European Parliament whose political career implodes during a scandal-ridden election night. While those around him see his downfall coming, Honkala remains oblivious until the votes are counted and the public has spoken. Stripped of the only identity he's known—politics has consumed his adult life—he must confront an existential question: who is he without power? The series explores the psychological unraveling of an idealist forced to rebuild himself from nothing, examining ambition, ego, and what remains when everything is taken away.
