MosGaz. Delo N8: Zapadnya is a Russian crime series set in 1980s Moscow during the lead-up to the Olympics. The city's police force, tasked with eliminating crime before the games, assigns detective Ivan Petrovich Cherkasov and his team to crack down on prostitution and petty offenders. Instead, Cherkasov finds himself investigating a string of murders connected to Skull, a recently released convict and notorious bandit. Though the crimes bear Skull's hallmarks, Cherkasov lacks concrete evidence to make an arrest. Stranger still, someone appears to be protecting Skull from harm, systematically removing obstacles in his path. As Cherkasov digs deeper, he must uncover who is orchestrating events from the shadows and why they're shielding a dangerous criminal from justice.
