The Seven Sword Fights of Mondonosuke(2008)

The Seven Sword Fights of Mondonosuke is a samurai series set during the reign of the 8th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune. A young retired samurai named Mondonosuke learns that Omine-no-Zenki, his former apprentice brother, has assassinated the lord of the Kameda domain. Zenki was supposedly executed five years earlier, but has mysteriously resurfaced. Mondonosuke embarks on a dangerous quest to track down and confront his treacherous former ally, facing a succession of deadly sword fights along the way. The series follows his journey through a landscape of betrayal and vengeance as he seeks to stop Zenki and restore order.
