Herr von Hancken(2000)

Herr von Hancken is a German comedy series set in the early 1800s. Captain von Hancken, an eccentric aristocrat, arrives at Iglinge Spa with his family seeking treatment for his numerous ailments. When Dr. Wurm diagnoses him with six weeks to live, von Hancken transforms his impending doom into an opportunity for self-dramatization, becoming the center of attention at the resort. Over those six weeks, absurdity unfolds: he falls for a mysterious viscountess, becomes convinced the king will visit, and when the royal arrival fails to materialize, he launches a full-scale rebellion.
