Pantanal is a Brazilian drama series following José Leôncio, a cowboy turned wealthy farm owner in the Pantanal wetlands. After his father mysteriously vanishes and his wife flees to Rio de Janeiro with their newborn son, José Leôncio spends two decades nursing his bitterness in isolation. When his now-grown son returns from the city—shaped by urban life and values wholly foreign to his father's world—the two must navigate a painful reconciliation. The sprawling landscape of Brazil's largest tropical wetland becomes the backdrop for their collision of worlds, as José Leôncio confronts the consequences of his past and the possibility of redemption through family.
