X Factor(2008)

X Factor is the Italian adaptation of the British musical talent competition. The show launched on Rai 2 before moving to Sky Uno in 2011, where it remained until 2024. Sky Italia acquired the format after Rai dropped it due to rising production costs. The competition follows the familiar X Factor structure, with judges evaluating singers across blind auditions, bootcamp rounds, and live performances. The series has cycled through several hosts over its run: Francesco Facchinetti steered the early years, followed by Alessandro Cattelan's lengthy tenure, then Ludovico Tersigni and Francesca Michielin. From 2024, Giorgia took the hosting role. RTL 102.5 became the official radio partner from season eleven onward. Fremantle Italia has produced the show since season seven.
