Jornal da Globo(1967)

Jornal da Globo is a late-night news series from Brazil's Rede Globo, airing after midnight with no fixed schedule. Hosted by William Waack and Christiane Pelajo, the program delivers comprehensive daily news coverage, with particular focus on Brazilian and international economics and politics. The show debuted in 1967 as Rede Globo's inaugural newscast, featuring Hilton Gomes and Luiz Jatobá, but was discontinued in 1969 ahead of Jornal Nacional's launch. After relaunching in 1979 under Sérgio Chapelin, it was shelved again in 1981. The current iteration began in 1982 and has remained on air since, establishing itself as a cornerstone of Brazilian broadcast journalism.
