Dead of Night(1972)

Dead of Night is a British supernatural anthology series produced by the BBC and broadcast on BBC2 in 1972. The single-series run comprised seven 50-minute episodes exploring ghostly encounters and unexplained phenomena across different settings and characters. Only three episodes survive in the archives: "The Exorcism," "Return Flight," and "A Woman Sobbing." The production team, led by Innes Lloyd, created an eighth installment titled "The Stone Tape," which also survives but was released separately rather than as part of the Dead of Night series. The show exemplifies early 1970s British horror television, blending atmospheric storytelling with period production values to craft unsettling tales of the supernatural.
