Million Joe(2019)

Million Joe is a Japanese drama series following Soichi Kurei, a magazine editor overseeing the wildly popular manga series of the same name. When the manga's creator, Tsuneo Magata, dies unexpectedly, Kurei faces an impossible choice: let the beloved series end unfinished, or pursue a risky deception. He proposes a controversial plan to Ryota Terashi, Magata's chief assistant—conceal the writer's death and have Terashi complete the manga using Magata's notes. What unfolds is a tense exploration of artistic legacy, professional ambition, and the lengths people will go to preserve a work they've invested in.
