Churasan(2001)

Churasan is a Japanese television drama that follows Eri, born on Okinawa's Kohamajima Island on the day the prefecture returned to Japanese sovereignty in 1972. Eleven years later, a Tokyo family arrives at her parents' small inn: widow Shizuko and her two sons, Kazuya and Fumiya. Eri's warm, quirky family welcomes them, but Eri soon learns Kazuya is terminally ill. The family has come to Okinawa to spend his final days together. As Kazuya's younger brother Fumiya and Eri grow close, they promise to marry someday. After Kazuya's death, Fumiya and Shizuko return to Tokyo, separating the young pair. Years pass before fate reunites them in a Tokyo hospital, where Eri works as a nurse and Fumiya as a doctor.
