Shooting Stars is a Chinese historical drama following a young man from a Kuomintang military family whose life transforms during the turbulent Shanghai of the 1920s–30s. Caught between his privileged background and the ideological upheaval of the era, he gradually abandons his family's nationalist ties and embraces Communist principles. His evolution culminates in becoming a skilled undercover operative working against his former world.
