Against All Odds(2023)

Against All Odds is a Russian drama series following Zakhar, a stubborn village patriarch who refuses to sell his family land to developers despite mounting pressure. When a massive residential complex threatens to consume his property—along with the forest and fishing pond of his childhood—Zakhar digs in. The conflict deepens when his grandson falls for the developer's daughter, forcing the family to choose between love and principle. As angry tenants from the new high-rise and corporate interests close in, Zakhar rallies his relatives for an unlikely stand against corruption and greed.
