Parabéns pra Você is a Brazilian miniseries following Mendonça and Maria Rita as they confront a marriage in crisis. When Mendonça, a Physics teacher, turns 40, he's consumed by regret—abandoned dreams of postgraduate study abroad, a stalled career, and emotional distance from his wife. Maria Rita, a journalist climbing the professional ladder, feels the weight of his discouragement but channels the couple's turmoil into something constructive: pitching an ambitious interview program at her station.
