Hometown(2013)

Hometown is a Chinese drama series about rural development and unlikely partnership. Xu Fengguo returns to his village of Dayangshan with modern cattle-raising techniques, but faces skepticism from locals reluctant to abandon tradition. Determined to prove the methods work, he pushes forward despite resistance. When Shao Ying, an idealistic college-educated village officer, arrives to help with development, she struggles to gain the community's trust. Initially at odds with Xu Fengguo and misunderstood by villagers, Shao Ying must find her footing in a world far removed from city life. As both characters navigate cultural friction and institutional barriers, they discover common ground in their shared vision for the village's future.
