The Beloved Foes(2011)

The Beloved Foes is a Thai romantic comedy that follows Songkran, a wealthy real estate developer and notorious womanizer whose cynicism stems from childhood abandonment. Scarred by his mother's departure, Songkran treats women as conquests alongside his best friend Sia Ou, who runs a modeling agency. Their carefree lifestyle shifts when Songkran crosses paths with Ingdao, a fiercely independent orange farmer from a rural town. Despite her distinctive appearance and lack of conventional beauty, Ingdao refuses to be intimidated or impressed by Songkran's charm. Complicating matters, she's already in a relationship with Nu, a gentle local schoolteacher. As Songkran pursues Ingdao, their clashing personalities and opposing worlds create friction that gradually reveals deeper layers beneath both their guarded exteriors. The series explores whether genuine connection can overcome pride, prejudice, and past wounds.
