Father's Grassland, Mother's River is a Chinese series following the Mo siblings as they leave Nanjing for the vast grasslands of Inner Mongolia. There they join the Ulan Muqi performance troupe and work alongside local herders, immersing themselves in a radically different way of life. The story traces their journey through romance, heartbreak, and self-discovery as they navigate the challenges of their new environment and pursue ambitious dreams far from home. Themes of family, resilience, and cultural adaptation anchor the narrative as the siblings learn what it truly means to belong to the land and to each other.
