Noir(2017)

Noir is a Thai series that explores the intersection of childhood memory and parental expectation. Set during a parent-teacher meeting at Trimalee High School, the story follows sixth-grade students and their families as they navigate a pivotal day. Counselor Mr. Pairat facilitates conversations between educators and parents, each with their own hopes and anxieties for their children. Among them are Porsche's mother, Warm Water's guardian, and the parents of Atom, Brick, and Sorghum—each carrying distinct perspectives on their child's development and behavior. As the meeting unfolds, the gap between how parents perceive their children and how teachers see them becomes increasingly apparent. The series examines the weight of expectation, the fragility of childhood, and the often-unspoken tensions that define family relationships in modern Thailand.
