Saludos(1983)

Saludos follows a fictional Philadelphia neighborhood transformed by an influx of Spanish-speaking immigrants. Mr. Wiggins, an aging store owner, watches his customer base dwindle as residents seek food that reflects their cultural tastes. When Mina, a Spanish-speaking adult, recognizes his struggle, she offers to teach him the language—a decision that could revitalize his struggling business and bridge the growing divide in his community. The series explores themes of cultural integration, economic survival, and unlikely friendship as Wiggins navigates a changing world and discovers common ground across language barriers.
