Mastodon(2023)

Mastodon is a Russian drama series about Viktor Molodtsov, a sixty-year-old widower and old-school bureaucrat from a provincial city who discovers he has an adult daughter he never knew existed. Ekaterina, his estranged child, is now a confident, progressive official at Moscow's Ministry of Digital and Advanced Development—everything her father is not. Determined to reconnect with her, Viktor uses his connections to secure a job at the ministry as an ordinary employee. What unfolds is a collision between two generations: the analog past and the digital future, tradition and progress. As Viktor navigates Moscow's modern corridors, he must bridge the gap between his outdated worldview and his daughter's cutting-edge ambitions, all while earning her trust and discovering what family means when you're starting over at sixty.
