Zastava Zhilin(2009)

Zastava Zhilin is a Soviet drama set in 1941, following Pavel Zhilin, a first-year student who joins the border guard to escape a failed romance. When Nazi forces invade, Zhilin survives the German offensive only to face a deeper conflict: his former love has married another man, yet he remains determined to protect them both. The film captures the collision between personal desire and wartime duty, as Zhilin navigates impossible choices on the front lines.
