Khor(2023)

Khor is a Soviet-era series set in 1972 that follows Yura, a shy 12-year-old from Lyubertsy who discovers his singing voice after hearing Robertino Loretti's music. Inspired by his supportive music teacher Varvara, Yura overcomes social pressure—singing is seen as unmanly by his peers—and auditions for the prestigious Pavlov Choir. The choir's director faces an urgent challenge: he has just one month to recruit new singers and prepare a performance for the national TV festival "Song of the Year." The series captures Yura's coming-of-age journey as he finds confidence through music while the choir races against time to mount a compelling show.
