Lady of Tides is a drama series following Joana, a pregnant woman fleeing her abusive husband. After escaping a boat full of criminals by jumping into the sea, she washes ashore on Terceira Island, where she meets Chico, a lost child. Exhausted and disoriented, Joana arrives at a religious ceremony and is mistaken for a saint—Our Lady of the Sea—by the island's devoted community. What begins as a case of mistaken identity becomes complicated as Joana must navigate her new life while keeping her true past hidden. The series explores themes of survival, redemption, and faith as she builds an unexpected connection with the island and its people, all while remaining a stranger to the truth they believe her to be.
