Non-Child Cinema is a Russian fantasy series that follows schoolfriends Danya and Taisiya as they accidentally open a time portal, releasing legendary fairy-tale characters—including the hero Danslav, Zhaba Zhabovna, Kikimora, Koshchey, and Leshiy—into the modern world. The arrival of these magical beings awakens something in shy Danya, spurring him to pursue festival filmmaking and search for his estranged father. As he performs increasingly daring feats to impress Taisiya and mend fractured bonds with his mother and grandmother, Danya discovers that the portal's chaos has destabilized reality itself. Now he must find a way to return his new friends home before the damage becomes irreversible—a mission complicated by Taisiya's eccentric inventor father and the characters' own reluctance to leave. Blending coming-of-age drama with magical adventure, the series explores identity, family, and the cost of disrupting worlds.
