USWA Championship Wrestling(1977)

USWA Championship Wrestling is a professional wrestling television series that evolved from Jerry Jarrett's Continental Wrestling Association program. Originally broadcast on WMC-TV, the show was renamed Championship Wrestling Association as Jerry Lawler joined Jarrett in leadership. When Jarrett and Lawler acquired the rights to World Class Championship Wrestling from Dallas, they unified both the regional Dallas broadcasts and the Memphis-based CWA under a single banner: the United States Wrestling Association. The resulting USWA Championship Wrestling became the flagship program for the promotion, showcasing regional wrestling talent and storylines until the show's conclusion in 1997. The series represents a significant chapter in American wrestling's territorial era.
