Oh, Father!(1973)

Oh, Father! is a British sitcom that follows Brother Dominic's promotion to Father, though his newfound status does little to improve his perpetually chaotic luck. Derek Nimmo reprises his role from the earlier series Oh, Brother!, bringing the same bumbling energy to the character as he navigates the mishaps and misadventures that seem to follow him wherever he goes. Produced by Graeme Muir for BBC One, the show trades on physical comedy and the fish-out-of-water humor of a well-meaning but accident-prone clergyman trying to maintain his dignity in an unforgiving world. Despite his promotion, Father Dominic remains as clumsy and disaster-prone as ever, creating comedy from the gap between his elevated position and his inability to stay upright or out of trouble.
