Behind Bars(2005)

Behind Bars is a Syrian social drama that follows Naji Saeed, a ruthless Damascus businessman whose wealth comes from exploiting those around him. When the desperate and naive Nader seeks his financial help, he becomes entangled in a web from which there's no honest escape. The film examines how class divisions, greed, and moral compromise create invisible prisons that confine people long before physical confinement begins. Directed by Allaith Hajjo and featuring Bassam Kousa, Bassem Yakhour, and Sulafa Mimar, Behind Bars is a penetrating look at the systems that trap ordinary people within cycles of dependence and corruption.
