Sanford Arms(1977)

Sanford Arms is an American sitcom that aired briefly on NBC in fall 1977 as a spin-off attempt following Redd Foxx's departure from the original Sanford and Son. When Foxx left to pursue a variety show on ABC after six seasons, producers sought to continue the franchise with Demond Wilson as the lead, but Wilson exited over salary disputes. Rather than abandon the project, the producers introduced a new central character to carry the series forward. Norman Lear, the show's creator, stepped back from his executive producer role but remained involved as a consultant. The series struggled to find an audience and was cancelled after just one month on air.
