Alter Ego(2026)

Alter Ego is a French crime drama following Joseph Batista, a reserved police officer who returns to Marseille after three decades in Paris, only to discover he has a daughter and grandson he never knew. His daughter Lyna, now an investigating magistrate, is determined to make him answer for his absence. Batista's investigations constantly pit him against Samy Kaddourian, a brilliant but scattered lawyer defending the very suspects the officer pursues. Samy, a single father juggling three children and emotional weight, clashes with Batista's guarded pride at every turn. As they face off across criminal cases, their arguments gradually shift into understanding. Two people fighting for justice from opposite sides discover they may be each other's perfect match, blending procedural tension with an unlikely romance.
