Gun Metal Grey is a 2010 Hong Kong police procedural drama that dramatises the country's most notorious criminal cases. Airing on Jade from November to December 2010 across 30 episodes, the series explores the moral complexities and hidden truths behind real crimes that shocked the city. Written by Lau Choi-wan and Leung Yan-tung, the drama was produced by Television Broadcasts Limited as part of the channel's 43rd anniversary celebration. It marked a milestone as one of the first TVB productions to broadcast live English subtitles. The title reflects both the literal meaning of "criminal police" and a deeper thematic layer: the moral ambiguity faced by those who enforce the law. Felix Wong's character Stone Sir embodies this grey area, a cop caught between duty and conscience as he navigates cases that blur the line between right and wrong.
