Celebrity Duets(2006)

Celebrity Duets is an American reality competition series that pairs celebrities with professional singers in weekly elimination rounds. Created by Simon Cowell, the show was inspired by the Australian format It Takes Two and the BBC's Just the Two of Us, but with a twist: each celebrity performed with a different professional partner every week. Wayne Brady hosted the competition, with judges including legendary composer David Foster, rock pioneer Little Richard, and singer Marie Osmond. The series premiered on Fox with a two-hour debut on August 29, 2006, then settled into its Thursday timeslot for the remainder of its run, concluding on September 29, 2006. Originally developed as Star Duets for UK television, the BBC acquired the format before it could air on ITV, preventing the British version from production.
